Radio Futura is one of the famous music groups from contemporary Spanish music world. The music composed and rendered by this group took Spanish speaking nations by storm. This group created melodious blend of traditional Spanish music with pop and rock music. Therefore, their music appeals to Spanish music lovers.

The group ruled Spanish music world from 1979 to 1992. They released 8 albums during this span. These albums are Musica Moderna, La ley del desierto, la ley del mar, De un paos en llamas, La Cancin de Juan Perro, Memoria del porvenir, Tierra para bailar, Escuela de calor. El directo de Radio Futura, and Veneno en la piel.

The band re-recorded and released some of the numbers from these albums. There are two compilations of Radio Futura's music consisting of selected songs from all these albums. The names of these albums are Lo Mejor de Radio Futura: Paisajes Electrico, and Caja de cancione. Caja de cancione is a comprehensive collection of songs by this group. It includes some of their rare numbers. In 2004, music artists from Spain released A tribute to Radio Futura collection, Arde La Calle, which has selected Radio Futura songs rendered by contemporary artists.

The music of Radio Futura has influenced many Spanish artists and music bands. Their music video is another reason for their popularity. The group became the first Spanish music group to record its music as a video. This group introduced Spanish music fans to punk music.

The founding members of this group were Herminio Molero, Enrique Sierra, Luis Auseron, Santiago Auseron, and Javier Perez Grueso. In 1981, Solrac (Carlos Velazquez) became a member and Molero and Perez Grueso left the band. The first music video by this group is La estatua del jardon botnico.

Radio Futura was a Spanish pop group which used to mix a catchy pop style and light-up lyrics in guitar-based rock songs. It was founded in year 1979 during a musical movement around Madrid. Their group created songs from a slower and higher form of rock music to subgenre of pop music.

They created history of becoming one of the most popular bands in Spain during 1980s-90's and being one of the most influential rock groups. In the year 1989 they were voted the best Spanish act of 80's. After their split-up, the fundamental founders of Radio Futura carried on with their solo careers.

This pop-rock band included an amateur singer and synthesizer Herminio Molero, Ausern brothers luis and Santiago as lyrics writers, Enrique Sierra as guitar player, and percussionist Javier Perez Grueso. They got their name Radio Futura from an Italian independent radio station.

Hermio Molero used to contribute with his fusion of traditional and electronic music to the group while Enrique Sierra added a punk touch. The Radio Futura band soon became one of the iconic images of La Movida Madrilea. After some of the live performances and months of rehearsals they came up with their album Mosica Moderna in 1980. After that for at least 15 years they never looked back.

Radio Futura music video of single recorded "La estatua del jardon botonico" was one of first to be produced in Spain. That was soon followed by Dance usted, whose introduction was described as a funky-punky sound which was unknown in Spain by that time. Radio Futura CD of their album of Arde La Calle is considered as their most popular music cd to be bought by their fans.
